Editor will help direct, grow and oversee Billboard’s unique style/lifestyle coverage across all platforms. Core responsibilities:

  • ideate, assign, edit (and at times write) topical music-centric style and lifestyle news and enterprise pieces with a goal of multiple posts per day
  • determine and lead style coverage online and in book around red carpets, major music events/festivals and fashion weeks
  • create and oversee new multi-platform style and lifestyle editorial franchises (including video)
  •  ideate and execute lifestyle and style features, packages and cover stories for magazine
  • work with style staff (fashion market editor, digital producer) in developing style mission-aligned pitches across platforms
  • ensure print lifestyle stories are amplified online and across platforms including social
  • explore and launch new style/lifestyle content partnerships


Ideal candidate should have minimum 5 years mid to senior level fashion, beauty and lifestyle editorial experience (writing/assigning/editing news, profiles, reported pieces) in digital and print, deep writer/contributors network, fashion/beauty industry contacts, and be passionate about music and understand and appreciate the influence of music on style and vice versa.
