Chart Manager (Latin & Affiliated Charts)

The Chart Manager is responsible for all aspects of Billboard's Latin charts, as well as other chart department oversight, in Billboard magazine, and on and This person would not only be responsible for maintaining the relevancy and accuracy of Billboard’s current Latin chart menu, but also for seeking out new means of charting music consumption and conservation, dictated by market shifts. This Chart Manager would be the Billboard representative to the music industry community for his or her specific genre charts and act as a liaison for those formats with our data providers and Latin music licensees. The chart manager also contributes nearly daily editorial content/chart analysis for print and online and reviews daily data feeds and oversee compilation of finalists and winners for various Latin Billboard Music Award broadcasts. The chart manager must be fluent in Spanish, both written and verbal, willing to work flexible hours and must be an effective and experienced social media communicator.



  • Drive continued relevancy and accuracy of current Latin chart menu while seeking out new means of charting music consumption
  • Process and apply rules to various Latin genre charts
  • Review daily feeds of album and song data for proper genre classification
  • Oversee and update monitored radio panels for respective charts and genres
  • Proof magazine pages and assure accuracy of respective charts and accompanying data in print and online
  • Author daily and weekly chart-related editorial content and artist features for Billboard and as well contribute to social/live/podcast platforms
  • Further Billboard's editorial coverage of Latin music with chart-informed insights about Latin charts, trends and other analytical content
  • Act as the Billboard representative for the Latin charts with record labels, streaming services, retailers, radio stations, social media services, consumer media and our readers. Initiate and accept all call/inquiries from these sectors, as well as attend Latin music industry functions.
  • Oversee compilation of finalists and winners for various Latin Billboard Music Award broadcasts
  • Maintain open dialogue with industry contacts and data providers concerning chart issues



  • Fluent in Spanish, written and verbal
  • Broad knowledge of Latin music, including regional Mexican, pop, tropical, reggaeton and more
  • An understanding of the machinations of the music industry with a contact base of influential people in various sectors of the industry
  • Excellent Writing skills
  • Social/Digital Media expertise
  • Proficient in industry databases, such as Nielsen Music, as well as Word, Excel and PowerPoint



  • Candidate should have a minimum three years employment history in related music field (record label, digital/social, publishing, radio or retail). Prior published writing experience preferred.
